What Made You Decide to Attend UMD?
I came to a prospective student event hosted by Women in Engineering (WIE) and I really loved the atmosphere of the community. I could see how the faculty and staff at UMD care so much about students, and I knew that the Clark School would be a great fit for me.

Best Experience with a Class or Project
As a member of the College Park Scholars Science, Technology, and Society program, I really enjoyed my first-year colloquium classes because they were a nice break in my day and an opportunity to be creative and have fun. My group made popsicle stick people for our final project and had a great time!

Favorite Class In Major
CMSC 250: Discrete Structures

Favorite Class Out of Major
CPSS 101: Science, Technology, and Society Colloquium II

Student Organizations/Extracurricular Activities
I'm a member of Alpha Omega Epsilon, a professional and social sorority for women and non-binary STEM majors, and the Society for Women Engineers (SWE).

Favorite On-Campus Event
I love Maryland Day because it is such a fun community outreach event. There are so many ways to get involved and it really shines a light on all of the amazing work that UMD students and faculty are involved in.

Favorite Research or Study Abroad Experiences
I haven't had a chance to do research or study abroad yet, but I'm hoping to take a semester abroad before I graduate. One thing that I love about the Clark School is that we have our own separate study abroad advising office, so I can get specialized advice on how to best fit a semester abroad into my four-year plan.

Cool Engineering Experience
In my ENEE 101: Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering class, one of our lab activities was hacking into a model website. It was a really interesting way to learn the basics of cybersecurity and how important the field is to every industry.
