WIE Undergraduates : Teaching Fellows

Want to pre-test being an instructor?
Consider a Teaching Fellowship. Each Teaching Fellow works 8 to 10 hours a week and receives a stipend of $500 for the semester. (Departmental matching is strongly encouraged.)
This is an exciting opportunity, especially for juniors and seniors who want to explore the possibility of graduate school.

This fellowship can be renewed by submitting a new proposal on the application deadline. The maximum number of fellowship appointments is two semesters. In order to be eligible for the WIE Undergraduate Teaching Fellow, students must demonstrate academic merit and time commitment.
The program requirements are:
- "B" or better in the course you will work with
- Overall GPA of at least 3.0
- Spend 8-10 hours per week working for the course
- Write a summary of your experience at the end of the semester
Program responsibilities include:
- Assist a faculty member in teaching first and second year engineering courses
- Present lectures
- Grade homework
- Hold office hours to meet with students
- Be a role model in the classroom for undergraduate students

Program Application
Teaching Fellow applications are accepted on a continuous basis.
- Complete an application (pdf file)
- Include a copy of your official transcript plus current coursework, if not indicated
- Submit a teaching proposal
