RISE alumnae share their successes:

"I have decided that I definitely want to pursue a graduate degree - probably Masters of Engineering!"
-Amanda, Industrial Engineering and Operations Research major, RISE 2002

"I joined a new research lab that I can work at during the semester! It's in biomedical engineering. I'm working with the head of the Mechanical Engineering department. This lab just started this year, so there's only one post-doc and me :)"
-Stephanie, Mechanical Engineering major, RISE 2002

"I have benefited so much from this summer already. I have been interviewing with some people lately for employment when I graduate in May. My academic record has been what initially lands the interview but what seems to keep their interest during the interviews is my research internship this summer and all of the skills I have acquired. They want to know about my teamwork experience, leadership experience, public speaking/presentation experience, and also skills specific from my project such as working with MATLAB. Honestly, I would not have had anything to tell them if I did not participate in RISE this summer and I am truly grateful that I was given the opportunity to take part in RISE."
-Lisa, Computer Science and Finance major, RISE 2002

"When I signed up for RISE, I was originally hoping that it would be an extracurricular program that would look good on my resume. It turned out to be a life-changing experience and something that I wouldn't change for the world. The program has shown me that people really want me to excel. The whole experience has pushed me to pursue a master's degree, and possibly even a doctorate. Most important, I hope that I can be a mentor to others, just like those who have been so helpful to me."
-Krystle, Chemical Engineering major, RISE 2002
