Stepping Stones to your future is an annual summer engineering camp for rising 7th and 8th graders, offered by the University of Maryland, College Park. This one-week commuter camp is an excellent opportunity for young men and women who are interested in science and engineering to work with current University of Maryland students on a variety of fun and hands-on engineering activities.
Some questions Stepping Stones to your future will help you answer:
- “What is engineering?”
- “How does engineering relate to the environment?”
- “Do I want to be an engineer someday?”
Summer 2008 Program Dates
Session I: July 14-18, 2008
Session II: July 21-25, 2008
9:00am - 3:00pm, daily

Cost
The program cost is $300 for each participant. This fee is due upon acceptance to the program; please do NOT send the fee with the application. Full and partial scholarships are available based on financial need.
A completed application package must include the following items:
- Online application form (To be completed by the student and parent/guardian)
- Student's personal statement expressing their interest and expectations is accepted into the Stepping Stones program. Do not exceed 200 words. (To be completed by the student)
- Completed teacher recommendation form (To be completed by a current math or science teacher)
