1.) Program Interest & Career Goals: (5000 character maximum) Describe your interest in the CS Scholar internship, indicating how your participation will help further your academic and career goals. Include an explanation of your interest/experience in the project(s) you identified above. This is an opportunity for you to present your experiences, extracurricular activities, strengths, and specific skills.

2.) Support for Women in Technical Fields: (5000 character maximum) Describe your commitment to supporting women in engineering, mathematics, and computer and physical sciences.

3.) Request for Travel Assistance Funds (optional, 5000 character maximum): Limited funding is available to assist non-University of Maryland students with some transportation costs to and
from campus at the start and the end of the program. To be considered, provide a detailed estimate of your travel
expenses.

V: Letters of Recommendation |
Include
in your application two letters of recommendation from professional
or academic references. One reference must come from a science, technology,
engineering or mathematics professor. Letters should be placed in
a sealed envelope, signed across the flap. Please use the Reference
