Like most people, I didn't just know that engineering was for me since the day I was born. I always enjoyed math and science, so I knew I wanted to major in something related to them. After learning more about engineering, I began to see how much it appealed to me because I was always the guy asking "How does that work?" Here at Maryland , I love what I am doing in and out of my classes. I chose mechanical engineering because I feel it gives me a versatile engineering background which will give me more freedom to explore a variety of job options. Later this semester, I am planning to apply for the five year B.S./M.S. program, which I feel is a really great opportunity to get both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in mechanical engineering in only five years. When I am not hanging out in the engineering building with Pi Tau Sigma, the Mechanical Engineering Honors Society, I am usually organizing an intramural volleyball team or at the Eppley Recreation Center
