Year: Junior
Howdy there! I guess since you are looking at this page you would like to know a bit more about my experiences so far at the University of Maryland. (That or Google has led you astray.) Well, I'm currently in the midst of my second year of aerospace engineering and proud of it. “Why aerospace?” one might ask. It's simply because airplanes are just really, really ridiculously cool. I find everything about them enthralling: their shapes and designs, the history behind them, the men and women that have flown them, the possibilities for the future, etc. So, the combination of my perhaps not so minor obsession with all things aviation and my pleasant proficiency in math and physics made going into aerospace a natural choice. Now that I'm here at the University of Maryland, I must admit that I am enjoying myself. I've met loads of interesting people and made plenty of new friends. I'm a member of Honors Program, the Terrapin Trails Club, and the American Institute of Astronautics and Aeronautics (AIAA) I've also found plenty of fun activities to do both on and off campus like rock climbing, kayaking, playing pool, going to downtown D.C. to the Smithsonian or just hanging out, just to name a few.
