Diana Johnson, Student Ambassador |
|
Year: Junior
After coming in as undecided engineering in my freshman year, I chose chemical engineering as my major. I have loved my experiences at the University of Maryland so far! There is always something to do, and it is great to be part of the A. James Clark School of Engineering. In addition to being an ambassador, I am involved in the University Honors Program, Inventis, and the Alpha Omega Epsilon professional engineering sorority. The first semester of my sophomore year, I studied abroad in Madrid , Spain and highly recommend a study abroad experience to incoming engineering students. If you plan early enough, you can make it work and living in a different country really gives you a whole new perspective on things. This past summer, I interned at Intel Corporation in Phoenix , Arizona and learned about the semiconductor industry.
