I always loved math, perhaps because it was the subject I was really good at, but it was when I took Physics junior year that I truly decided on engineering. I have always wanted to build roller coasters, design them, and it was my dream to create the craziest coaster on the planet. My Physics teacher pushed engineering as a way to make my dream come true, and with my math and physic skills I had a great start.
Here on campus I am part of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Women In Engineering (WIE), and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) all in my first semester! I am also part of Revolutions Dance Ensemble, and have made it onto their executive board. For SWE, I was the Resume CD Chair where I helped create, design, promote, and distriubte a cd of student resumes to the over 500 companies the Clark School is affliated with. I encourage freshmen students to join organizations both eningeering and non-engineering to network with a diverse group of individuals.
