Year: Junior
Never in American history has the need for domestically produced forms of energy been so essential to the stability of our country. For this reason among others, I have decided to pursue a degree in Chemical Engineering at the nationally recognized A. James Clark School of Engineering. The Clark School provides limitless opportunities to best prepare its students to answer this national call for innovation. After transferring into the Clark School my freshman year, I have committed myself to taking advantage of everything this college has to offer. I am an active member in Engineers Without Borders, AIChe (American Institute for Chemical Engineers), and Tau Beta Pi - The Engineering Honor Society. For the past year, I have had the opportunity to study under a professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering focusing on computationally modeling the E. coli virus and its beneficial properties as a pharmaceutical transporter. Outside of engineering, I love TERPS football and basketball, play intramural flag football and volleyball, and hang out with friends.
