Daniel Gopenko, Student Ambassador |
|
Year: Senior
Growing up in Maryland, I have always cheered for Maryland athletics and can even remember attending basketball games at Cole Field House. I am a member of the Inventis: Academy of Engineering Leadership and the University Honors Program, as well as the ECE Honors Program. Since joining the A. James Clark School, I have also received membership with the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers), the electrical engineering professional association, Eta Kappa Nu, the electrical engineering and computer science honors society, and Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honors society. Besides being a Clark School Ambassador, one of my most stimulating extracurricular involvements is the Engineering Student Council, of which I am the current President. I am also currently working part-time at Digital Receiver Technology, Inc. (DRT) in Germantown, MD as a Radio Frequency design engineer. My work with DRT involves designing and manufacturing high performance receivers and transceivers, capable of processing a variety of modern wireless protocols. I am proud to represent the Clark School of Engineering and would be happy to set aside time to speak with you or show you around our great campus.
