I knew I wanted to major in engineering during my junior high school year. By this time I had attended several engineering information sessions and the Women In Engineering summer camp, Exploring Engineering, and had narrowed down my decision between civil and aerospace engineering.
Since being at Maryland, I have been involved in a number of great programs. I am involved in the Quality Enhancement Systems and Teams (QUEST) program as well as the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Maryland’s Honors program. I am also a mentor for freshman women through the Women in Engineering (WIE) program and am an active member of Alpha Omega Epsilon, the engineering sorority.
