As a graduating Senior, I'm sure you have many questions regarding the Engineering Commencement Ceremony at Cole Student Activities Building, and the reception that follows after at the Kim Engineering Building, but are too busy with the Capstone project, grad school applications, or getting ready to take the FE to search for information.

Hope you find the below information useful! And remember, you don't need to register to walk to the ceremony.

  • Maryland Senior
This page tries to keep graduating seniors updated on information about upcoming senior social events, and is regularly updated during the school year. Don't forget to pick up your "Kiss me I'm a Senior" BUTTON as well as ordering your SENIOR T-SHIRT.
  • Getting the Cap & Gown
If you haven't bought your cap & gown or order your invitations yet, you can do so by going to the Book Center, or simply borrow the attire from someone who has already graduated.  The University has been using the same attire for many years (just make sure that you get the yellow hood, which is the one for B.S. students).
  • University Commencement Activities
This web site offers information about the University of Maryland commencement weekend activities, tickets, college and school ceremonies, parking, and much more.
  • Engineering Commencement Schedule
This page is regularly updated during the school year to provide engineering graduating students with the most accurate information regarding the school ceremony, and the reception that follows after in the Kim Engr Bldg Rotunda.
  • Commencement Reception
Students, families, and friends are invited to a reception with faculty and staff at the Jeong H. Kim Engineering Rotunda following the Commencement Ceremony. A shuttle bus will be available to and from Cole Student Activities Building.
Memorabilia and other souvenirs will be distributed to graduating students on behalf of the CE department and the Eng. Alumni Office.
