WHAT: A group of high school students is participating in "Catapult Camp: Spring into the Future" at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering. The students are learning about the intricacies of trebuchets, or medieval catapults, and will actually design trebuchets of their own.

WHEN: Media are encouraged to attend Friday, June 20, between at 10 a.m. and noon. Students will be working on their trebuchets at that time.

WHERE: J.M. Patterson Building (please call ahead for parking and exact room location)
A. James Clark School of Engineering
University of Maryland, College Park, MD 20742

NOTE: The above activity leads up to a trebuchet competition on Saturday in which the students participating in the catapult camp above will test their device against those from other teams across the country. Media interested in attending the Saturday competition should refer to this press release.
