On December 19, 2005, leading university officials, and Clark School faculty, staff and students, gathered with the Fischell family in the Innovation Hall of Fame for the announcement of the Fischell's $31 million gift to establish the Fischell Department of Bioengineer and the Robert E. Fischell Insitute for Biomedical Devices.
