Civil Engineering to Host Katrina Panel

The Clark School's Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering will host a panel discussion, "The Lessons of Katrina: What Engineering Can and Can't Do," at the Kim Engineering Building on Friday, September 23.

The panel discussion will take place from 10 am to noon, in Kim Building Room 1110.

Panelists include Clark School civil engineering faculty Gregory Baecher, Allen Davis and Gerald Galloway, as well as other university experts. Ali Haghani, chair of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, will moderate the discussion.

Galloway has served as a media expert on the effects of Katrina on the levee system of New Orleans in recent weeks.
