Distinguished Alumni Nominations Do you know of a successful engineering alumnus who has made a difference? Each year, the Clark School of Engineering is proud to present the Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award at the Alumni Association Awards Gala. Past recipients have included alumni from all areas of engineering. Nominate an engineering alumnus for the A. James Clark School of Engineering Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award by downloading this form. The deadline is October 1. You can also nominate an alumnus for the Alumni Association Awards. The nomination deadline for these awards is September 30, 2005. Alumni Notes Greg Rose (B.S. '93 civil engineering) recently opened a second location for Clubgolf, a new fitness and practice facility where golfers can improve their game, in Cincinnati, Ohio. The original Clubgolf, founded by Rose, is in Gaithersburg, Md. Christian Utara (B.S. '90 electrical engineering) has been inducted into the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Fellows Program. Utara is the Chief Engineer for NAVAIR in St. Inigoes, Md. The NAVAIR Fellows Program is a technical recognition program for the most experienced and talented engineers and scientists who have made major contributions to naval aviation. The Clark School Mourns the Passing of. Lewis Carr, Ph.D. '87 and instructor in the Department of Biological Resources Engineering, passed away earlier this year.
