Clark School Class of 2006 Set to Graduate May 22

The Clark School commencement ceremony will take place at Cole Student Activities Building at 10 a.m. on May 22. Linda Gooden, president and CEO of Lockheed Martin Information Technology, will serve as commencement speaker. The University commencement ceremony will take place on May 21.

Fire Protection Engineering Alumni Dinner in Orlando, June 6

FPE alumni attending the NFPA 2006 World Safety Conference in Orlando are invited to join an alumni dinner on June 6 at 6 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Cost to attend is $45. RSVP to Andrew Valente by June 2.

New Glenn L. Martin Exhibit Unveiled

University President C.D. Mote, Jr., and officials from Lockheed Martin Corporation helped Dean Nariman Farvardin unveil a new display housing the bust of Clark School benefactor and aviation pioneer Glenn L. Martin in April. The new display will move to Martin Hall this spring.

Alumni Notes

Andreas Bernhard, B.S. '95 and Ph.D. '00 aerospace engineering, has won the 2005 Marshall Tan Award for his work in vehicle health management systems. The award is presented annually by Sikorsky Aircraft.

Anh Duong, B.S. '82 chemical engineering, was profiled by The Washington Post regarding her expertise in explosives.
