So too, engineers can affirm the Oath of Obligation proclaiming a commitment to uphold their ethical responsibilities. Upon induction into the Order of the Engineer, you are given a steel band to wear on the small finger of your working hand to proudly display your commitment and remind yourself never to cut corners. The Clark School is Link #137 and hosts a ceremony every year. As a graduate of the Clark School, you are eligible to become a member of the Order. The next induction ceremony will be on April 3, 2009. For more details, visit www.eng.umd.edu/current/ooe.html.
