Looking for a way to help the Clark School continue to advance, but need inspiration as to the perfect gift within your means?  Well, here are some meaningful and fun ideas for supporting our students and important programs:  Creative Ways to Give!  Select one or more possibilities from the list below, and we’ll help you make a creative gift that’s right for you.

Here Are Creative Ideas You Can Use Right Now

Rock On – Sponsor equipment in Electrical and Computer Engineering’s new Projects Lab, which will be used for new specialty courses like "Electric Guitar Design." Investment: $5,000.

Tool Around – Outfit an Engineers Without Borders student with tools for project trips. Investment: $150.

Grant a Wish – Create a grant to benefit a student in the department of your choice. Investment: $1,000 (four-year pledge of $250 a year).

Pave the Way – Provide a scholarship to fund a student's participation in the Stepping Stones to Your Future program, a one-week camp to interest young adults in science and engineering. Investment: $350 per person.

Meet and Greet – Fund a Women in Engineering first-year student networking event. Monthly networking activities are held for freshmen and their mentors. Investment: $300 each.

Give the Gift of Learning – Send two child-focused, child-sized, manually powered laptops from the "One Laptop Per Child" project to the developing world. One will be delivered by Engineers Without Borders to Burkina Faso and the other will be sent to a child in Afghanistan, Cambodia or Rwanda. Investment: $400 for 2 computers.

Play with Fire – Boost the Fire Protection Engineering department’s fire modeling power by providing new computers. Investment: $4,000 each.

Encourage Exploration – sponsor modern electronics project kits for a new Explore Electronics course for freshman in electrical and computer engineering. Investment: $5,000 each.

Keep It Going (and Going and Going) – Buy batteries for an Engineers Without Borders solar-powered energy system. Investment: $3,000.

Equipped to Succeed – Contribute to a fund established in a bequest by an alumnus to purchase equipment for chemical and biomolecular engineering. Investment: Any amount, $----, you fill in the blank!
