The Clark Engineers Society: Membership Levels and Benefits

The Clark Engineers Society is an excellent vehicle for contributing to the Clark School of Engineering because your gift to the Clark Engineers Society will not be reduced by any administrative fees or levies. In all other respects, the Clark Engineers Society parallels the University of Maryland’s Colonnade Society (which recognizes individual donors), and your membership in the Clark Engineers Society grants you the same benefits as membership in the Colonnade Society.

Visionary Club: Gifts of $25,000 or more

• Unique opportunity: A pledge of $25,000 per year for five years endows a prestigious graduate fellowship in perpetuity in your name or the name of someone you’d like to honor or memorialize
• As part of this unique opportunity, you will receive recognition in the Maryland Society and invitations to Maryland Society events. The Maryland Society acknowledges the University’s top donors who have contributed a minimum of $100,000 or more to the University
• A one-year contribution creates a one-year fellowship in your name. During that year, you will be invited to events at which you may meet the student who receives your fellowship
• Plus all of the benefits listed below

Innovators Club: Gifts of $10,000 - $24,999

• Special opportunity: A five-year pledge at this level endows a scholarship in perpetuity in your name
• A one-year contribution creates a one-year scholarship in your name. During that year, you will be invited to events at which you may meet the student who receives your scholarship
• Plus all of the benefits listed below

Pioneers Club: Gifts of $5,000 – $9,999

• Invitations to exclusive events hosted by the President during the gift year
• Plus all of the benefits listed below

Pacesetters Club: Gifts of $2,500 – $4,999

• Invitations to special events hosted by the Dean during the gift year
• Invitations to exclusive cultural events held on campus during the gift year
• Plus all of the benefits listed below

Explorers Club: Gifts of $1,000 - $2,499

• Invitation to the Clark Engineers Society/Colonnade Society Events during the gift year
• Invitations to lectures held on campus during the year, such as the Sadat Lecture for Peace (past prominent speakers include James Baker, Nelson Mandela, Kofi Annan, Henry Kissinger), the Whiting-Turner Business and Entrepreneurial Lecture Series, and the Charles and Helen White Symposium (past speaker includes Arno Penzias, Nobel Prize winner in Physics)
• Plus all of the benefits listed below

All Gifts

• A tax deduction to the extent allowed by law
• Recognition in the Honor Roll of Donors published on The Great Expectations campaign website, and other University publications and websites as appropriate
• The opportunity to raise the Clark School's U.S. News & World Report ranking (by increasing alumni support, one of several factors used to calculate each school’s standing), and thereby enhancing the value of your degree
