	Angela Fu Bioengineering Research Interest: Virus detection using molecularly imprinted polymers

	Rachel Idikula Computer Engineering Research Interest: Computer architecture

	Rochelle Mellish Aerospace Engineering Accomplishment: Was selected to receive an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Minority Ph.D. Program Scholarship from the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering toward her Ph.D. studies with the Clark School.

	Deborah Sweet Graduate Program in Bioengineering and B.S. '06, chemical engineering Accomplishment: Has been named the 2009 recipient of the Fischell Fellowship in Biomedical Engineering.

	Monica Syal Aerospace Engineering Accomplishment: Won the Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship for the 2009–2010 academic year.

	Gelareh Taban Computer Engineering Research Interest: Network security and cryptography

	Sophoria Westmoreland Mechanical Engineering Accomplishment: Was selected to receive an Alfred P. Sloan Foundation Minority Ph.D. Program Scholarship from the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering toward her Ph.D. studies with the Clark School.

	Enlu Zhou Electrical Engineering Research Interest: Controls and stochastic filtering

The Graduate Women in Electrical and Computer Engineering student group has gained official status as a student organization at the University of Maryland. The group, which was started in the fall of 2006, is dedicated to fostering a sense of community among graduate female students in the ECE department. The group's new president is Mahsa Dornajafi. The faculty advisors for the Graduate Women in ECE group are Professors Kris Rosfjord and Min Wu.

The Parental Use Room provides a private, quiet and lockable space for individuals who need privacy for parent-related activities, for example, breast feeding. This room is available during business hours (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) with advanced reservations.
