Are you interested in learning more about blizzards, nor'easters, and other severe winter weather? Well, now's your chance! The National Weather Service is coming to campus on Saturday, Nov. 7 to teach “Winter Storms”, which is part of their Skywarn Storm Spotter training series. Although Basics I is required to receive credit, anyone with a strong interest and basic knowledge of meteorology is invited to attend. The class is FREE but please register online at http://www.atmos.umd.edu/~gcm/wiki/skywarn.html to ensure a space. Free pizza/soda will be provided for lunch courtesy of the Graduate Student Government. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Wojdan at lwojdan@atmos.umd.edu.
