About ASHRAE-UMD

The American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) student chapter at the University of Maryland is a knowledge based organization which emphasizes education, leadership and industrial partnerships.

One of the primary objectives of ASHRAE is to educate our members through our guest speakers who are experts in the field of heat transfer and refrigeration. In addition to classroom learning, ASHRAE members are directly involved in HVAC engineering applications through joint research projects with industry and government.

The ultimate goal of ASHRAE is to support the science of thermal comfort and climate control engineering and to ensure the success of this technology well into the future.
